About the estate
The Weinbau Löw winery looks back on a long tradition, as the family has been active in viticulture for nearly two centuries and was originally known in Biel-Benken in the Leimental region as winegrowers and coopers. In 1977, the operation relocated to Buus, where the vineyards have since been cultivated on the sunny and sheltered southern slope above the village. The special microclimate on site provides the basis for the thriving of well-known grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling x Sylvaner, Bacchus, and Ortega. The wines produced fall under the AOC Basel denomination.
