About the estate
The Weinbau Andreas Rüedi is a traditional estate located in Trasadingen in German-speaking Switzerland, which is now managed in the sixth generation. In 1846, Ulrich Rüedi left his birthplace of Gächlingen to purchase the farm in the Canton of Schaffhausen, which subsequent generations expanded by acquiring adjacent buildings and barns. Across a vineyard area of seven hectares, the winemaker cultivates grapes for wine and juice to support the estate's wine sales. The wines are produced under the AOC Schaffhausen denomination. The property is also well-known for its innovative tourism project featuring overnight accommodations in converted wine barrels.
