About the estate
The Wailand estate was founded in 1996 in Vienna and is owned by Dr. Georg Wailand. The winery cultivates five hectares of vineyards in traditional sites on the Kahlenberg and in Nussdorf, including the Mitterberg and Ried Pratteln single vineyards. The main grape varieties grown by the estate are Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Zweigelt. The vineyards are managed with a commitment to treating the vines with plant protection products as little as possible. Today, the wines are well represented in high-end gastronomy.
