The traditional Von Hövel estate in Konz-Oberemmel on the Mosel looks back on a history to 1803 and is managed in the seventh generation. Across 22 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates prominent steep sites on the Saar, including the Scharzhofberg and the monopoly site Oberemmeler Hütte. The soils are characterized by various slate formations. The focus of production lies on the Riesling grape variety, which is crafted into distinctive, long-living wines. Vinification is traditionally carried out with ample time to emphasize the origin and minerality of the wines.
