About the estate
The Fattoria Moncucchetto estate is situated on a hill in the heart of Lugano in Ticino and has belonged to the family since 1919. Across a vineyard area of approximately three hectares, grape varieties such as Merlot, Viognier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir are cultivated under the Ticino DOC denomination. The beginnings of estate vinification date back to 1969 with the production of the first bottles of Merlot. In 2009, a new winery designed by Mario Botta was inaugurated, incorporating the historic farmhouse. Today, the family-run estate is managed across generations, combining winemaking with a culinary offering.
