About the estate
The Viñas del Montsant estate cultivates vineyards in a region defined by rugged geography and licorella slate soils. Led by winemaker Jaume Capdevila, the vineyard work focuses on the deeply rooted Garnacha and Cariñena grape varieties. The soils comprise slate, calcareous-clay formations, and red clays found in the peripheral plots. Vinification takes place in the winery within small tanks to fully express the potential of the local terroir. The wines are represented within the Montsant DO and Priorat DOQ designations.
