About the estate
The Villa Rosa estate is a small family-run winery in Emilia-Romagna founded in 1954 and currently managed by the Illari family in its third generation. Spanning 17 hectares of vineyards across the municipalities of Vernasca and Alseno, the estate cultivates its vines using Guyot and spurred cordion training systems while respecting the traditions of the Colli Piacentini denomination. Andrea oversees the daily operations, ranging from vineyard management with integrated pest management to winemaking and bottling. The business offers both bottled and bulk wine and is scientifically linked to the reconstruction of Leonardo da Vinci's historic vineyard in Milan.
The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Bonarda and Barbera. The estate sells to retail.
