About the estate
The Traxler estate is a traditional family winery located in Langenlois in the Kamptal, cultivating vineyards for generations. Since 1978, the winery has focused entirely on viticulture and has since achieved its current size. Following the early death of the grandfather, the father took over management and passed it on in 1995 to Franz Traxler, who successfully completed the examination for viticulture and cellar master in 1996. Gaining practical experience in the Wachau, he realized that quality begins in the vineyard, leading to initial changes in cultivation. In 2001, a new press house equipped with modern technology was built to replace the old tree press used until then.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Scheurebe.
