About the estate
The Tornesi winery located in Montalcino, Tuscany, looks back on a family history dating back to 1967, when Gino Tornesi registered his vineyards and joined the consortium. Maurizio Tornesi initiated commercial production with the first Rosso di Montalcino release, followed by the first Brunello di Montalcino from the 1993 vintage released in 1998. Today, Elisa Tornesi carries on the family project together with her father Maurizio, her mother Renata, and her grandmother Renata. In 2009, the estate completed a new cellar built entirely in a traditional stone structure.
