About the estate
The Terre Nere estate is located in Tuscany in Montalcino and is managed by the Vallone family. The winery covers a total vineyard area of 15 hectares, with 10 hectares in Castelnuovo dell’Abate planted with Sangiovese Grosso. The soils of the mineral terroir are dark and shaped by the extinct Amiata volcano. The vines are trained using the guyot and cordon systems and are set within a surrounding of woodlands with an ideal microclimate. The wines produced comprise the well-known designations Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC.
