About the estate
The Tenuta di Ghizzano estate in Peccioli, Tuscany, is one of the oldest and most innovative agricultural enterprises in the area, with a history dating back to the 14th century. The historic Venerosi Pesciolini family manages the estate according to organic and biodynamic principles. Of the total area of approximately 180 hectares, 20 hectares are dedicated to vineyards where varieties such as Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot are cultivated. The vines are trained using cordon and guyot systems. For the maturation of a pure Sangiovese, cocciopesto amphorae are used alongside traditional methods.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
