About the estate

The Stur winery is an organic family estate located in Hohenruppersdorf in the southern Weinviertel, now managed in the fifth generation. The mild Pannonian climate and the soils, which are partly sandy and loess-rich, form the foundation for close-to-nature viticulture. The focus is on typical regional grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Muskateller, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Traminer, Blauburger, and Zweigelt. Farming is carried out consistently without the use of chemical agents, and the wines are given the necessary time to mature in the cellar. In addition to winemaking, the family has also offered guest rooms since 2010.

The eno directory lists 18 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Gelber Muskateller.
