About the estate

The Soma Borpince winery is located in Szentantalfa within the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region, specifically in the Mocsár vineyard above the Nivegy Valley with a view of the lake. The family-run estate looks back on a history spanning multiple generations, relying on traditional knowledge passed down from father to son. The vineyard produces a wide range of grape varieties including Olasz rizling, Rizlingszilváni, Ezerfürtű, Zenit, Szürkebarát, Ottonell Muskotály, Zeusz, Zweigelt, Syrah, St. Laurent, Juhfark, and Cserszegi fűszeres. The wines are crafted in a traditional manner, offering styles ranging from dry to sweet wines, as well as dessert wines and wine specialties. Sweet wines are exclusively sweetened with must or through the preservation of residual sugar.
