About the estate
The Shalva Merebashvili estate is a family winery located in the Kartli region with a winemaking tradition spanning centuries. The winery-owned organic vineyards are situated in the Okami valley on a gently south-facing hillside between 550 and 650 meters above sea level. The portfolio features regional grape varieties such as Chinuri and Tavkveri alongside rare indigenous varieties like Goruli Mtsvane and Shavkapito. Production relies on the traditional method using large underground clay jars, known as Qvevris, combined with modern approaches. This approach yields authentic, natural small-lot wines with a distinctive style.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Chinuri and Goruli Mtsvane.
