About the estate

The Schmid-Schneller estate located in Kirchberg am Wagram farms 35 hectares of vineyards on loess soils with a focus on organic and sustainable practices. The family-run business is managed in the third generation and traces its history back to 1932. Grapes from sites such as the Ölberg are hand-harvested and gently processed in cellars built directly into the slope. The portfolio includes classic white wines, site-specific white wines aged in large wooden casks, as well as characterful red wines and sparkling wines like Weinviertel DAC. French barrique barrels are also utilized for the maturation of top wines.
