About the estate

The Schiopetto estate in Capriva del Friuli looks back on a history that began in 1965 with the production of a single-varietal wine, shaping the era of modern Friulian white wine. Founder Mario Schiopetto transformed once uncultivated land into meticulously tended vineyards on the typical ponca soils composed of marl, limestone, and clay. His children Maria Angela, Carlo, and Giorgio later assisted him in managing the business before the Rotolo family acquired ownership in April 2014. Today, Emilio Rotolo together with his son Alessandro carries on the mission and production philosophy of the estate in the spirit of the founder.
