Schabl

About the estate

The Schabl estate cultivates four and a half hectares of vineyards in Gumpoldskirchen within the Thermenregion, specializing in wines under the Thermenregion DAC designation. This historic winery is family-run and features a vintner's house with a core dating back to the Middle Ages. Christian Schabl manages the family business, placing great emphasis on resource-efficient and sustainable operations. Since the 2022 vintage, the estate has been certified with the Nachhaltig Austria seal of approval. A traditional focus of the winery is placed on the Welschriesling grape variety.

The eno directory lists 28 wines, mostly from Rotgipfler and Spätrot-Rotgipfler. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
