About the estate
The Piriwe estate is located in Traiskirchen in the Thermenregion and is run by the Piriwe family in the fourth generation. The family has its origins in the south of France and the winery has been managed by Josef and Jana Piriwe for over 30 years. The vineyards extend along the hilly landscape of the eastern Alpine foothills at the foot of Anninger and Eichkogel on mineral soils. The grape variety spectrum includes local specialties such as Zierfandler, Rotgipfler, and Neuburger as well as internationally widespread varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Following a long-prepared transition, the estate has been certified organic since the 2023 harvest.
