About the estate

The Rebberg Buchholz Silenen winery was founded in 1996 by Ruth and Joe Kempf-Holdener in Silenen to revive the local viticultural tradition. The vineyards are cultivated using close-to-nature methods completely without the application of insecticides or herbicides. Dry stone walls, hedges and a pond actively promote biodiversity and provide a habitat for numerous animals and plants. The portfolio comprises various grape varieties, producing wines under the AOC Uri designation. The wines are distributed through selected partners in gastronomy and local retail.
