About the estate
The Weingut zum Rosenberg estate is located in Altdorf in the Swiss canton of Uri at an altitude of 475 meters. Cultivating a vineyard area of approximately two hectares, the property spans the slopes of the former Capuchin monastery as well as the Hirzenboden in Bürglen. The soils, consisting of clay, limestone, and stones, combined with a microclimate shaped by warm foehn winds, create ideal conditions for the vines to thrive. The grape varieties grown here include Pinot Noir, Diolinoir, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand and on foot to ensure that only top-quality grapes are pressed.
