About the estate
The Rawino estate is a micro-winery located in Nova Vas near Poreč in the Croatian region of Istria, operated by Rafael Ravnik. The vineyards exclusively consist of the producer's own organic plots on red clay and stony soil, surrounded by forests and olive trees. The winery is dedicated to natural winemaking, following uncompromising ecological and ancient methods. Hand harvesting and the absence of pumps emphasize a nature-focused philosophy where grapes undergo maceration in Georgian clay amphorae outdoors. The portfolio features macerated white wines such as Malvazija Istarska as well as red wines made from Teran, Refošk, and Merlot, all produced in very limited quantities.
