About the estate
The traditional Rankhof Oberkirch estate has been managed by the Hunkeler family since 1826 and is idyllically situated on the shores of Lake Sempach in the canton of Lucerne. In 2020, Jonas Hunkeler took over the operations from his parents, leading the estate into a new era with a clear focus on sustainability and quality. Since 2022, viticulture has followed Bio Suisse guidelines, cultivating the Solaris and Muscaris grape varieties on a portion of the total 7.83 hectares of agricultural land. From these grapes, the winery produces hand-harvested and AOC-certified organic white wines with a distinct regional character. The portfolio comprises expressive wines known for their freshness and aromatics.
