About the estate
The Quinta dos Avidagos estate looks back on a long history, with the first property having been in the family since 1670. Today, the winery manages a total of 65 hectares of vineyards planted on schist soils with high rock density and good solar exposure in the Douro region. The vineyards are cultivated with indigenous grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. Vinification takes place in a modern winery built in 1999, alongside a remodelled Port wine warehouse used for barrel aging. The estate is currently managed by the third generation of the founding family, producing wines distributed in both domestic and export markets.
