About the estate

The Martha’s Experience 360 enterprise looks back on a long winemaking history that began in 1727 with the laying of the first vineyard stones. From the 1900s onwards, the estate started commercializing wine in barrels for exporting houses in Gaia, followed by bottling its first bottle of port wine in 1955. Today, the family business is managed by Rita and Pedro Marta as the fifth generation at the helm of the family enterprise since 2007. Following the relocation of the company headquarters to Abaças in Vila Real, the winery offers interactive visitor experiences.
