About the estate
The Quinta da Prelada winery looks back on a winemaking history dating back to the 17th century, which was officially recognized with the emblematic Pombaline boundary marker number 39 in 1757. In 1920, Dr. Samuel Lopes da Silva acquired the property, which is now run by the current generation of the family. The estate encompasses 60 hectares of vineyards located in the Douro Valley within the Baixo Corgo sub-region, at altitudes ranging from 250 to 500 meters. The production focuses on regional wines carrying the Douro DOC and Porto DOC denominations. With an average vine age of 30 years, the estate is dedicated to expressing the unique terroir of its vineyards through its wines.
The eno directory lists 20 wines, mostly from Tinta Bastardinha and Baga.
