About the estate
The ΚΤΗΜΑ ΑΛΦΑ estate was founded in 1997 by viticulturist Makis Mavridis and chemist-oenologist Angelos Iatridis in the northwestern part of Greece within the Amyndeon region. The privately owned vineyards cover a total area of 220 hectares situated on a plateau at an altitude of 620 to 710 meters, featuring gentle northwest-facing slopes with high homogeneity. The winery is positioned directly in the heart of these estate vineyards to ensure minimal transport times for the harvested grapes. Throughout the winemaking process, the facility utilizes natural gravity to handle the raw material with the least possible stress and to protect its organoleptic characteristics.
