About the estate

The Prada a Tope, S.A. estate in Canedo, Castilla y León, cultivates vineyards on surrounding slopes reaching up to 800 meters in altitude. The history of the property is closely connected to the Palacio de Canedo, where wine production was already documented in 1761, and the business has operated in its current form since 1972. The organically farmed parcels feature the indigenous grape varieties Mencía and Godello alongside the international variety Chardonnay. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, followed by minimal-intervention winemaking that avoids synthetic chemicals and herbicides. In addition to terroir-driven still wines, the portfolio includes sparkling wines, spirits, and artisanal specialties.
