Polvanera

About the estate

The Polvanera winery builds on a long family tradition in viticulture and is led by Filippo Cassano. Located in Apulia between Acquaviva delle Fonti and Gioia del Colle, the estate features a cellar excavated directly into the limestone rock. Approximately 100 hectares of vineyards are organically cultivated with grape varieties such as Primitivo, Aleatico, Aglianico, and Minutolo. The vineyards sit at altitudes between 300 and 450 meters on various soil types. Vinification combines modern techniques while avoiding oak barrel aging to preserve the native character of the grapes.
