The Poggio di Sotto estate was founded in 1989 by Piero Palmucci in Castelnuovo Abate, Tuscany, and has been part of ColleMassari Wine Estates since 2011. The organically farmed vineyards cover 48 hectares, with a portion dedicated to old Sangiovese vines. Situated on the slopes of Mount Amiata, the plots exclusively cultivate red grape varieties, featuring a rich genetic heritage of 182 indigenous Sangiovese biotypes. The production focuses on traditional wine styles such as Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.
