About the estate
The Pleil estate in Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel has been run as a family business for generations and cultivates 18 hectares of vineyards. The varietal wines such as Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, and Riesling, alongside the red wine variety Zweigelt, reflect the origin of the Weinviertel. Christian Pleil completed the viticulture school in Klosterneuburg and gained international experience before taking over his parents' winery. The vinification takes place traditionally in steel tanks for white wines and in wooden barrels and barriques for red wines. The certified Nachhaltig Austria member also produces sparkling wine and predicate wines.
