About the estate
The Pinino estate in Montalcino traces its history back to 1874 and was among the founding members of the Brunello consortium in 1950. Today, the winery is managed by the family of Ferruccio Ferragamo, with Salvatore Ferragamo guiding its style and strategy. The estate spans 16.24 hectares of vineyards featuring galestro and alberese soils, where Sangiovese Grosso is cultivated. Production follows sustainable principles, including the use of cover crops and the avoidance of chemical herbicides. The portfolio includes Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
