About the estate

The Pietra estate in Montalcino is managed by the Ferretti family, whose ancestors transformed the land from forest into vineyards over several decades. The vines grow on limestone soils on a south-facing slope at an altitude that provides optimal conditions for Sangiovese. The winery focuses on producing the best possible grapes through dedicated vineyard work and a simple, transparent cellar process. The portfolio includes the well-known regional denominations Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. Every wine reflects the specific characteristics of the soil, the grape variety, and the seasonal conditions.
