About the estate

The Nestor Wine estate cultivates 42 hectares of vineyards in Halbturn within the Neusiedler See wine-growing region using sustainable methods. The sites such as Kaiserberg, Waldacker, Lehendorf, Haide, Grannawitzl, and Bauernwies feature diverse soils including gravel, loam, limestone, sand, and chernozem. The Pannonian climate and the influence of Lake Neusiedl shape the character of the wines. Farming practices include the avoidance of chemical-synthetic insecticides and herbicides, supported by cover cropping and natural fertilization. In the cellar, the team relies on artisanal precision, the avoidance of artificial treatment methods, and maturation in stainless steel tanks and 500-litre oak casks.

The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The estate sells to retail.
