About the estate
The Montecappone winery was founded in Jesi in the 1960s and has been owned by the Bomprezzi-Mirizzi family since 1997, who are now active as winemakers in the third generation. The estate manages around 50 hectares of vineyards located in various areas with diverse soils and microclimates. The grape varieties cultivated include Verdicchio as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Lacrima, and Passerina. Farming follows environmentally conscious guidelines with strict yield reduction, and all agronomic operations including harvesting are performed manually. The produced wines include the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC and Rosso Piceno DOC designations.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Verdicchio and Passerina.
