Monte Cimo

About the estate

The young Monte Cimo estate was founded in 2018 by Francesco Chiamenti in Spiazzi on the slopes of Monte Baldo and is run by him together with his wife Serena. The property comprises nine hectares of high-altitude vineyards situated in a striking landscape between the Adige Valley and Lake Garda. On predominantly calcareous and rocky soils, the vineyards are planted primarily with fungus-resistant PIWI grape varieties such as Solaris, Muscaris, Johanniter, Rithos, and Crethos, alongside Incrocio Manzoni and Traminer. The pronounced diurnal temperature variations of the altitude and the tempering influence of the lake shape the wines, which are characterized by distinct freshness, aromatics, and vibrancy.
