Mas des Chimeres

About the estate

The Mas des Chimeres estate is located in the commune of Octon on the edge of Lake Salagou and is run by the Dardé family, who have worked the land there for several generations. The vineyards are distributed across two distinct terroirs featuring very old red soils from the Permian period and basaltic plateaus. Guilhem Dardé established the winery as an independent cellar in 1993 after grapes were previously delivered to the local cooperative, and he is joined today by his wife Palma and his daughter Maguelone. The estate manages its vineyards according to organic farming methods and produces certified organic wines.
