About the estate

The Martoccia di Brunelli estate looks back on a long history documented since the 14th century, with the Brunelli family settling at the small farm in the 1960s. Today, the winery is managed in the second generation and covers a total area of about 25 hectares, with ten hectares planted with vines such as Sangiovese, alongside four additional hectares in the Montecucco territory. The vineyards are situated in various locations on the southwest and northeast exposures of Montalcino featuring stony and clay-rich soils. To achieve high wine quality, the estate focuses on low yields in the vineyard. The production includes appellations such as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, and Toscana IGT.
