About the estate
The Maison Viticole Schmit-Fohl estate has been established in the heart of the village of Ahn in the Moselle Luxembourgeoise region for seven generations. In 2021, Nicolas and Mathieu took over the 14.5-hectare estate and transitioned the vineyards to organic farming. The vineyards are all located within a four-kilometre radius of the village and feature soils composed essentially of shell limestone. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, and vinification involves minimal intervention to produce authentic wines with a strong expression of terroir.
The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Riesling.
