About the estate
The Maggio Massimo estate cultivates over 50 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Hyblaean territory using organic farming methods. The soils consist of red and sandy layers resting on a limestone base, providing the vines with balance and mineral richness. The vineyards are home to native Sicilian grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Frappato, Grillo, Catarratto, and Inzolia, alongside international varieties. Vineyard management focuses on low yields, careful pruning, and manual harvesting in the finest plots. Through these practices, the winery produces authentic wines that reflect the identity of Sicily.
