About the estate
The Laczkó Borház estate is located in Gyöngyöspata within the Mátra wine region. The history of the cellar dates back to the 15th century to the time of King Matthias, featuring a historic escape tunnel and a natural karst water spring. The winery cultivates its own vineyards with 17 different grape varieties, producing a large selection of over 20 artisanal wines. Due to late harvesting, the wines often exhibit a high alcohol content and a sweet flavor profile resulting from residual natural grape sugar. Winemaking focuses on craftsmanship by avoiding selected yeasts, chemical additives, and preservatives while utilizing only minimal sulfur.
