About the estate
The La Calcinara winery in Ancona, Marche, looks back on a family winemaking tradition that began in the 1940s and established itself in the Rosso Conero DOC area. The project was founded in 1997 by siblings Paolo and Eleonora, who returned to their home estate after gaining experience abroad. Today, the family manages 11.5 hectares of vineyards as well as olive groves. Organic agriculture is practiced in the vineyard to promote soil vitality for terroir-driven wines. The entire family takes part in the work at the estate.
