About the estate

The Klur Jean-Paul et Fils estate in Katzenthal, Alsace, is an exclusively family-run business currently managed by the brothers Nicolas and Guillaume in the third generation. Established after the war by Albert Klur, the estate has a winemaking history spanning generations and features vineyards across five municipalities from Ammerschwihr to Eguisheim with a diverse range of terroirs. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru, and AOC Crémant d'Alsace appellations. The vineyards are cultivated using nature-friendly methods, protecting the vines with sulfur and copper while ploughing the soils and maintaining natural grass cover. Vinification focuses on respecting the grapes and the terroir to produce rich, characterful wines and traditional sparkling wines.
