About the estate

The Kellerei Eisacktal cooperative is based at the Reinthalerhof, following the construction of a new production facility in the Spitalwiesen. Over 135 local winegrowing families cultivate the sunny slopes and steep wine terraces of Italy's northernmost winegrowing region. The soils consisting of quartz phyllite, diorite, and volcanic porphyry formations, combined with a special microclimate, provide ideal conditions for growing white grape varieties. Alongside traditional varieties such as Sylvaner, Müller Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner, Kerner, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon, and Riesling, smaller quantities of red varieties like Vernatsch, Pinot Noir, and Zweigelt are also cultivated. The team relies on ecologically sustainable measures and traditional manual labor to produce distinctive wines of high quality.
