About the estate

The Karnerhof Manfred Karner estate manages eight hectares of vineyards in Rust. The winery is run by Manfred Karner in the eleventh generation, who took over the responsibility for the vineyards and cellar management from his parents together with his wife Beatrix in 1996. The vineyards are planted equally with white and red grape varieties, including Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Furmint, Muscat Ottonel, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Blauburger, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Shiraz. The estate's portfolio includes Ruster Ausbruch DAC, among others. Through single-variety planting, quality-oriented cultivation, and careful harvesting, the estate produces quality wines, dry Kabinett wines, and late harvest wines.

The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Welschriesling and Blaufränkisch. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany.
