About the estate
Located in Sissach in German-speaking Switzerland, the Imhof Weine estate looks back on a multi-generational history that began in 1983 when Bruno Imhof planted the first vines. Following the takeover by Dieter Imhof, the vineyard area was steadily expanded while the traditional agricultural farm was gradually converted entirely to viticulture and fruit growing. Today, the winery cultivates grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Dorsa, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc, producing lighter wines aged in steel tanks as well as complex bottlings matured in barrique barrels. The portfolio is complemented by spirits distilled from the estate's own high-stem fruit trees and industrial cherries.
