About the estate
The Il Borro estate is situated in the heart of Tuscany within the Valdarno di Sopra region and traces its history back to a twelfth-century stronghold. In 1993, Ferruccio Ferragamo acquired the property and initiated a comprehensive restoration of the historic medieval village. Agricultural and wine production is conducted entirely organically across a total of 1100 hectares of land, with 85 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The winery manages its vineyards and production according to organic principles to promote biodiversity and preserve the natural ecosystem.
