About the estate
The I Sodi estate is located in Gaiole in Chianti, Tuscany, and was acquired by the Casini family in 1973. The vineyards cover a surface area of twelve hectares situated around the historic farmhouse, benefiting from optimal sun exposure and a favorable microclimate. Wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination are produced from the stony soils. The first vintage was bottled in 1978. For maturation, the winery traditionally relies on large oak casks alongside small oak barrels for the most prestigious wines.
