About the estate
The Wine House Gurjaani estate is a family-operated company in the Kakheti region with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1864. Located in the village of Pkhoveli at 850 meters above sea level, the vineyards are processed exclusively with bio preparations. Production follows traditional Georgian methods using large, underground earthenware vessels known as Kvevri. The portfolio comprises five different wine varieties such as Khikhvi, Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi-Khikhvi, and Saperavi, with a maximum total production capacity of 8000 bottles. Sales currently take place primarily in the estate's own wine cellar and in restaurants in Tbilisi, while the company remains open to new export opportunities.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Kisi and Khikhvi. The estate sells to horeca.
