About the estate
The Gratl estate is located in the Raab-Örseg-Goricko trilateral nature park in southern Burgenland, with roots dating back to the 18th century. Deep clay soils with volcanic inclusions, a mild climate, and abundant sunshine provide ideal conditions for viticulture in this region. The winery cultivates grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the regionally typical Uhudler. Following modernization work, the grapes are vinified under state-of-the-art technical conditions in the estate's cellar. The portfolio is rounded out by specialties such as Pilgerwein, Blauhudler, and high-quality distillates.
