About the estate

The Giorgi Mshvenieradze winery is a small family estate located in the Zestaponi municipality within the Imereti region. The vineyards cover approximately two hectares and include grape varieties such as Tsolikouri, Tsitska, Krakhuna, Dzelshavi, and Otskhanuri Sapere, with some vines dating back over eighty years. The estate avoids systemic preparations and herbicides in order to preserve the natural environment. Harvest takes place by hand in October, followed by traditional vinification in traditional Georgian clay vessels known as qvevris. Fermentation proceeds spontaneously using wild yeasts, partly with skin contact.

The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Tsolikouri and Tsitska.
